Malaysian Maritime Services Sdn Bhd (MMS) was formed in 1973 in order to assist Malaysian shipowners and other companies in the maritime industry. Today, MMS is part of a diversified group, active in the fields of insurance, marine risk management, marine liability covers, shipbroking, marine surveys and marine consultancy.

MMS is the only specialised broker in Malaysia for Protection and Indemnity insurance business and deals on a direct basis (i.e. without assistance of a London broker) with the P&I Clubs. The Company also provides advice on Charterparties, Bills of Lading wordings and other contracts of affreightment.

Other companies in the group include MMS (Insurance Brokers) Sdn Bhd, formerly known as MMS Miller (Insurance Brokers) Sdn Bhd, set up in 1983 to enhance our ability to offer a full range of broking services on a regional basis. A strong affiliation with internationally reputed and respected firms of Lloyd’s Brokers provide direct access to the world’s insurance markets.

Malaysian Maritime Technical Services Sdn Bhd (MMTS) was set up in 1983 to provide technical services such as ship and damage surveying, feasibility studies and a range of other technical services associated with maritime activities.
